Andrew Manis is former Professor of History (now retired) from Middle Georgia State University. An ordained Baptist Minister, he is the author of several books, most recently Eavesdropping on the Most Segregated Hour: A City’s Clergy Reflect on Racial Reconciliation. The book was nominated for and finished as a Finalist (Runner-up) for the 2022 Georgia Author of the Year Award in the Inspirational category. Andy is honored to have been the runner-up to Civil Rights and Congressional icon, John Lewis, for his final book Carry On: Reflections for a New Generation. He and his wife Linda, have a son, a daughter, four granddaughters, and two dogs.
