Motherhood is never simple. This is true especially for immigrant mothers who sometimes must live far away from their children or support networks, and who experience varying degrees of trauma around this. Today we honor immigrant mothers through a simple reminder: that no matter how far away the people we love are, we are still connected. We will offer gifts of toys and gas cards to the families served by El Refugio as well as heart blessings each with a visible string.
